Although there was the occasional drizzle on the morning of March 4, the Homeless World’s Longest Lunch – in conjunction with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival – went off without a hitch thanks to the incredible team at HEAT.

The iconic Luna Park set the scene for a memorable day
The backdrop was Melbourne’s iconic landmark, Luna Park, in St Kilda.

The Heat Beads® team set up three Heat Beads® Entertainer BBQs right outside the infamous ‘mouth’, where HEAT students helped to prepare BBQ Lamb Kofta (cooked over Heat Beads® BBQ Briquettes) for guests.

The event provided vital hands-on experience for the HEAT students, who also received ride vouchers donated by Luna Park. All in all, over 150 members of the homeless community enjoyed the rare opportunity of a delicious three course meal.
