Baked Haloumi Wrapped in Vine Leaves BBQ Recipe

Celebrity chef, authour & nutritionist, Janella Purcell, cooks a healthy & tasty Baked Haloumi Wrapped in Vine Leaves over Heat Beads® BBQ Briquettes on highly rated TV show Good Chef Bad Chef.

  • 4 thick slices of haloumi (600g)
  • 16-20 vine leaves
  • 1 loaf of crusty sourdough bread
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 tab dried oregano
  • pepper


Wrap each slice in four or five vine leaves.

Put the packages over a gentle heat until the cheese has melted & absorbed the distinct tang of the vine leaves (about 10 minutes).

Serve with bread.
