Cantonese Style Spicy Marinade BBQ Recipe

Celebrity chef, author & restaurateur, Adrian Richardson, shares his Cantonese Style Spicy Marinade recipe which he used to make tasty pork ribs cooked over Heat Beads® BBQ Briquettes.

Ingredients

  • honey
  • plum sauce
  • maltose
  • red food colouring
  • ¼ cup sherry vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • cinnamon
  • szechuan pepper
  • star anise
  • dark soy
  • maltose
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • ½ cup chopped coriander
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chilli

Method

To make the marinade, combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl to form a paste.
