‘Tis the season for gathering with family and friends, at what seems like a never ending list of pre-Christmas events. If you are as enthusiastic about grilling as we are, then some of these events are bound to involve a BBQ for cooking the turkey or a seafood feast!

Here is a list of what not to do to help get you through the day…

1. Don’t forget to stock up on everything you require for a successful BBQ ahead of time, as most stores are closed on Christmas Day, plus popular supplies sometimes sell out early.

2. Don’t play with fire, remember to take BBQ safety seriously; you don’t want to be remembered as the person who ruined Christmas by accidentally setting Aunty Magnus alight! If you need a refresher course, have a look at our BBQ safety tips.

3. As Grill Maestro states, try not to be ‘that guy’. See what we mean here.

4. Don’t drink too much, especially if the family are relying on you to BBQ the perfect turkey or seafood feast!

5. Don’t forget to clean your BBQ after you’re done. It is easy to get carried away with entertaining and forget to clean up after yourself, but no one likes to find a dirty grill or kettle the next time the BBQ calls. Check out our BBQ Cleaning Tips.

The Heat Beads® Team wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year!
