US Grill Master Steven Raichlen has recently announced the dates for his 2010 BBQ University.
It will once again be held at the stunning Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs from June 10-13 and June 13-16.
BBQU is a fantastic opportunity to fine-tune your grill skills while you unwind in the beautiful surrounds.
With all those cheap flights to the US at the moment, it sounds like a deal too good to refuse!
Camp Oven Cook Off a great success!
The 2009 Redesdale Camp Oven Cook Off was a great success. As in previous years, contestants were provided with basic ingredients – lamb or beef, onions, carrots and potatoes – while the contestants provided the skills and know how!
The Redesdale CFA was in attendance and kindly helped to keep the coals hot whilst raising much needed donations. There was also a plethora of entertainment with music by local band Ricketty Bridge, local regional food market stalls, local winery tastings and sales, plenty of food such as wood fired pizza’s, BBQ, dining in the restaurant and drinks throughout the day.
The old bluestone cottage was restored, ready for the judges Bob Hart, Peter Russell-Clarke and outback cooking author Andrew Dwyer. The judges had the difficult task of evaluating who took away the great prizes for each category – Best Beef, Best Lamb, Best Bread and Best Cake.
